The memory of Béziers joins the ranks of the Grande Armée
By way of an official recognition decree, it is hereby made known to the public that the Archaeological, Scientific, and Literary Society of Béziers has provided invaluable assistance in the creation of an informational panel dedicated to the residents of Béziers who served in the Grande Armée.
Thanks to his assistance and expert insight, this historical account serves as a reminder that Béziers, too, played a part in the great imperial saga. Behind the uniforms, battles, and legends, it was men from our region who marched under Napoleon’s eagles.
Let us therefore pay tribute to this scholarly society, the dedicated guardian of our local history, for its contribution to bringing to life a little-known chapter of Béziers’ history.
